COACH SPOTLIGHT: JOHN SASAKI, ALHAMBRA HS

For more than 10 years, Coach Sasaki has been the heart of the Alhambra High School Girls Lacrosse program. With over 40 players on his team, he not only pushes athletes to excel on the field, but also makes each individual feel seen, valued, and supported.

Coach Sasaki’s impact goes far beyond lacrosse. From encouraging athletes to pursue college dreams, to checking in on students’ well-being, to helping alumni overcome financial challenges and graduate— his influence is life-changing.

Under his leadership, Alhambra qualified for NCS in girls lacrosse for only the second time in school history, but his true legacy is the kindness, sportsmanship, and guidance he gives to every player.

Thank you, Coach Sasaki, for being more than a coach — for being a mentor, role model, and father figure to so many. The Alhambra community is better because of you.
