HISTORY OF BRACKETS

PREVIOUS THEORETICAL DIVISION INFORMATION
2019 brackets were developed through theoretical brackets from the 2013-14 school year, since NCS has never had a seven division model and therefore cannot use recent history.  2013-2014 used enrollment as a determining factor for placement of schools, then in 2016 the competitive division model was employed using the 2013-14, 2014-15 and 2015-16 MaxPreps rankings.  Below is a link to the developed Excel spreadsheet with all data and theoretical points earned during the last six years.  In addition, for ease of understanding how the divisions evolved the developed divisions for the 2016-17, 2017-18 and 2018-19 school years are also shared.  The number in the upper right corner of the developed divisions cooresponds with the number at the top of the Excel spreadsheet.  NCS staff will review Monday and Tuesday, April 1 and 2, correct any errors, then mail petitioning information to all member schools for completion of the fall petitioning process.
