MARIN CATHOLIC FRESHMAN FOOTBALL & COMMUNITY
In their first game against Vacaville, the Marin Catholic Frosh football captains took the field for the coin toss — leaving space for their fourth captain, Johnny Walker.
Johnny was an incoming freshman who tragically passed away with his parents in the Texas floods this summer. The team elected him as a captain, left space for him when they line up, and wore “JW” patches on their uniforms in his honor.
Beyond remembering Johnny, the team continues to support his sister, Ellie Walker, a current junior at Marin Catholic.
This student-led tribute is a powerful reminder that being part of a team means being part of something greater than yourself.
