GRANADA HS BOYS WATER POLO
The Granada High School Boys Water Polo program has made an incredible impact both in and out of the pool this season. Beyond securing our first North Coast Section playoff berth since 2017, the Matadors truly embodied the "bigger picture" by dedicating the month of October to Breast Cancer Awareness.
The Matadors wore special pink uniforms and used a pink ball to raise awareness and funds, culminating in the highly successful "PINK OUT GAME" against California-San Ramon.
By selling concessions, Granada merchandise, and collecting general donations, the team successfully raised over $4,000 directly for the HERS Breast Cancer Foundation.
This effort was a powerful lesson in giving back, teaching these athletes that success is measured not just in goals scored, but in their capacity for leadership, community support, and character—making the entire season a "win-win all the way around."
