SPORTSMANSHIP SPOTLIGHT: DUBLIN HS BOYS WATER POLO
This season, Dublin has shown that integrity matters more than the scoreboard.
In a game against Benicia HS, a Dublin player made a late steal from an opponent who is normally a Unified athlete. Without being prompted, the athlete quickly apologized, as did the coach-showing humility and respect.
In another close match against Ukiah, the officials missed a goal that had slipped through the net. Even though the call tied the game, Coach Bremer immediately corrected the mistake. Parents applauded her decision, recognizing that she is teaching her athletes lessons far beyond competition.
Dublin's coaches and athletes are living proof that sportmanship, honesty, and character define what it means to be a true competitor.
