- Memo sent to schools regarding the new practice starting date in 2008-09
- Memo includes information on the deletion of the conditioning week, the first weekend a school may schedule a scrimmage and the first weekend a school may schedule their first game in 2009. The new football calendar also allows 11 weeks for schools to schedule 10 games. NCS staff recommend that in the development of contracts with opponents that schedules always refer to dates, not, for example, "Week One". There is no standard in the CIF for what is "Week One". This will vary from section to section.
